Aunt Netters Cafe - Lecompton, Kansas Aunt Netters Cafe in Lecompton, Kansas is a breakfast and lunch restaurant, serving supper only on Friday. The food is good, but it is on this list of unique Kansas restaurants, because of the wonderful pies. Jamin and Annette Nally started Aunt Netters in 2014. Jamin is the chef and Annette is a school teacher who does the baking in the afternoon or evening, She bakes cup cakes, cinnamon rolls, cookies and pies. The pie is just $3/slice, plus $.50 for a la mode. Whole pies must be ordered in advance and are $18. So far we have had the chocolate peanut butter and caramel apple pecan. Both were fabulous and we couldn't agree on which one was best. The chocolate peanut butter is rich and the chocolate is not runny, The whipped cream has something extra, maybe cream cheese? It is tipped with bits of peanut butter cup. The pecans compliment the apple, giving it extra flavor a a nice crunch! So far we have only sampled lunch. The fried catfish was pretty straight forward and we liked the fresh cut fries. The burger was good and grilled onions and jalapenos are a nice option. You order at the counter and the meal is brought to your table. Meals are very reasonable. A pork tenderloin sandwich with the choice of many sides is only $6.25. We really need to try the cup cakes during our next visit!
