I haven't had a chance to stay at Hidden Valley Wilderness Retreat near Easton, Kansas in Leavenworth County, but Denise and Stan let me tour Whispering Elm, an amazing two story tree house suite. The retreat has three tree houses on the 32 acre heavily wooded property and several nature trails. The tree houses are incredible and I can see this being a big hit with guests looking for experiences. For those who don't want the stairs there is also a ground level rustic guest suite. There are also fire pits and a shared hot tub which can be reserved. There is TV with Cable, but internet and phone depend on your carrier and may be spotty and unreliable. There is a two night minimum and nighty rates started at $149 for the ground level retreat and $199 for tree house suites as of early 2025. All guests must be at least 18 years of age and there are no pets or parties.
