Mid-Kansas Model Railroad Exhibit Archive Page: This building has been demolished and replaced with a new structure which houses the McPherson Museum. The Mid-Kansas Model Railroad Exhibit display model railroads in the former Cedar's nursing home in in McPherson, Kansas. The property belongs to the McPherson Museum and Arts Foundation and will someday be the site of a new museum building. The former nursing home needs a lot of repair - the Mid Kansas Model Railroaders (MKMR) are fighting a real battle with water leaks in the building.. The Mid Kansas Model Railroaders is primarily an HO modular club but the McPherson Exhibit displays both HO and N-scale layouts, plus a gallery of railroad memorabilia. MKMR is also researching McPherson's railroad history and provides a modest railroad reference library. Non railroad enthusiasts will only need a few minutes to tour the Mid-Kansas Model Railroad Exhibit, but enthusiastic members of MKMR will work hard to make a visit enjoyable.
