![]() The Museum of Ellinwood in Ellinwood, Kansas allows visitors the opportunity to learn the community's history. It is operated by the Ellinwood Community Historical Society. The museum has many cultural and household artifacts, farm implements, vintage furniture, textiles, clothing, and musical instruments. I particularly liked the display of hand made wooden toys, an exhibit devoted to Wolf's Flour and Feeds and many old photographs of Ellinwood. They also have archival materials for those researching family history. The museum probably won't take more than 30 minutes to the average person who doesn't have a connection to the community, but is worth a visit before or after touring the nearby Underground World of businesses and walkway that once lay below the downtown.
