Fulmoth and Charlotte Kearney Graves - President Obama's Great-great-great-grandparents Fulmoth Kearney (alternate spelling Falmouth) was born around 1830 in Ireland to Joseph Kearney and Phoebe Donovan. After inheriting land in Ohio, he moved to the United States where he married Charlotte Holloway. In 2007, Fulmoth was identified as one of Barack Obama's Great-great-great-grandparents and as the most recent immigrant on his mother's side of the family. At that time, his final resting place was unknown. More recently, it was discovered that Fulmoth Kearney died March 21, 1878 and was buried in an unmarked plot in Fairview Cemetery in southeast Kansas. In 2014, a grave marker for his grave and that of his wife, Charlotte (Holloway), was added by a Great-great-grandson (and President Obama's second cousin, once removed), Dean Dillard, from Chanute, Kansas. Charlotte and Fulmoth were married on September 17, 1852, in Fayette County, Ohio. Fulmoth and Charlotte had 11 children, including Mary Ann, who was born September 18, 1869 and married Jacob William Dunham. Jacob and Mary Ann are buried in unmarked graves in Wichita Park Cemetery and Mausoleum in Wichita, Kansas. They had seven children, including Ralph Waldo Emerson Dunham, who was born on December 25, 1894 and married Ruth Lucille Armour. Ralph is buried in Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Wichita and Ruth is buried in Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado, Kansas. Ruth and Ralph had 2 children together, including Stanley Armour Dunham, who was born on August 29, 1916 and married Madelyn Lee "Toot" Payne. Madelyn and Stanley had one child, Dr. Stanley Ann Dunham, who married Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. The Obamas had one child, Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., who became the 44th President of the United States on January 20, 2009. Madelyn, Stanley and Stanley Ann are all buried in Hawaii. Fairview Cemetery is located in Fairview Township of Labette County, a little more than 5 miles north and 1 mile west of Bartlett, Kansas (population 80) or 2 miles south and 7 miles west of Oswego, Kansas.
