Rokeyroad Creamery - Sabetha, Kansas Rokeyroad Holsteins in Sabetha, Kansas began as a family dairy farm in 1999 and they opened Rokeyroad Creamery in 2025. The farm store is open 6 AM - 8 PM Monday through Saturday. They make sell artesian cheese, milk, ice cream and quark (an European style spreadable cheese). Most of the time the store is not staffed and purchases are made on the honor system, but a family member came into the store to tell a family (with 8 children) who were shopping that they were about to make cheese curds and they could watch through the window. We had already been enjoying the enthusiasm of the children (whose family regularly shops here) and had asked them about their favorite products. That was how we learned that the "holstein cream" ice cream is what most people call "cookies & cream." We have enjoyed the products we have tried and I'm looking forward to trying their aged cheddar when it is ready in the second half of 2026. The Rokey family has about 100 holsteins and you will see some of them during your visit to the creamery. Tours are available on Tuesdays at 10 AM and 2 PM and include a treat (cheese or ice cream). $20/person for parties of 5 or less, for groups 6-15 people, tours are $10/person (children 4 and under are free). Larger groups by appointment. Rokeyroad Creamers is southwest of Sabetha, Kansas, just off US36.
