The Rose Hill Historical Museum - Rose Hill, Kansas The Rose Hill Historical Society Museum in Rose Hill, Kansas has three buildings and the first one you visit is a small home furnished with period furniture. Only the main floor is used for the museum. Behind the home is a 30 x 42' display building which was built in 2020. It houses the majority of the museum's exhibits in two galleries, split between climate protected exhibits and a garage. The third building is a former one room school house which was moved to a short distance away. A Wall of Fame is devoted to "Locals who have made national/international acclaim." As of 2023, they were Jen Bechter and Kendall Gammon. Jen Bechter spent her childhood in Rose Hill and graduated from Rose Hill High School. She is an actress who has performed in Wichita, Off Broadway in New York and in national tours. Kendall Gammon graduated from Rose Hill High School and Pittsburg State. He was a center in the NFL, playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, New Orleans Saints, and Kansas City Chiefs. He was the analyst for the Kansas City Chiefs radio broadcasts until 2019. Other than a 1929 delivery truck, the biggest exhibit in the museum is a doll collection which fills one room. The Pleasant Center School originally sat in the center of Pleasant Township. It has two front doors and boys would use one door while the girls would use the other. Admission to the museum is free.
