State Theatre - Larned, Kansas The historic State Theatre in Larned, Kansas has been restored by the community. The 1940's building had been closed in 2002, but volunteers began renovating the movie theater and brought it back to life. It is the only theater in a town of over 4,000 people.. The seats are very comfortable and they retain the old spacing with so much leg room that other customers can pass in front of you without your needing to move your legs. Admission is $4 for 11 & under and $6 for adults. Sunday is date night: where $15 provides 2 adult admissions, 1 medium popcorn and 2 medium drinks. 3-D movies are $1 more per person.
