Mankato Harmony United Methodist Church - Mankato, Kansas Mankato Harmony United Methodist Church in Mankato, Kansas was built in 1909. The sanctuary has attractive stained glass windows and is dominated by a pipe organ originally purchased from the Hinners Organ Company of Pekin, Illinois in 1919, with half being paid for by the Carnegie Foundation. The organ was comprehensively rebuilt by the Reuters Organ Company from Lawrence, Kansas in 2012. I got to tour this beautiful church during the Big Kansas Road Trip in 2023. One of the women who was showing the church was Pat Grott and she played a couple of verses of Amazing Grace on the organ so we could hear how it sounds. The church bell is from the original Methodist church in Mankato and was manufactured in 1885 at the Troy Bell Foundry (New York). It was transferred to the new bell tower. It was removed for work and reinstalled in November of 2018.
