Topeka Dino Days
ws a four month long celebration of dinosaurs with exhibits, activities
and events at various locations throughout Topeka, Kansas. Displays
include a fully articulated cast of "Sue," the largest Tyrannosaurus Rex
specimen ever discovered, fossil dinosaur eggs and full sized animatronic
dinosaurs. Children's activities include dino dance parties, singsongs,
crafts, experiments, games, story times, giveaways and other adventures.

of events and activities. Although DIno Days is from February through June,
the only opportunity to see all four principle exhibitions is March
10 - May 1. Dinosaurs Alive! at Topeka Zoo is the only one open 7 days
a week,

24 - May 30: Visit Topeka recommends that you start your journey at Topeka
Dino Days Base Camp. Here you'll find a full size Allosaurus skeleton
and calf, a pop up store with Topeka Dino Days swag, and information about
things to see and do in Topeka and Shawnee County. Come see this free exhibit
and earn your first check n with the Topeka Dino Days Explorer Passport.

24 to May 30: Tiny Titans: Dinosaur Eggs and Babies at the Kansas
Children's Discovery Center is an exhibition of authentic dinosaur
eggs & nests from around the world. Children can dig for eggs, dress
up like a parent dinosaur to brood their nest, and feel the texture of
dinosaur eggs. Included at no additional charge with regular admission
to the Discovery Center.

10 - July 17: Dinosaurs Alive! at Topeka
Zoo features life sized, animatronic dinosaurs throughout the zoo.
They move and make sounds. The most popular pair are a Triceratops which
faces off with a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Included at no additional charge with
regular admission to the Topeka Zoo.

February
4 - May 1: Great Overland Station
makes a nice venue for SUE: The T. rex Experience. Built around
a cast of "Sue" the Tyrannosaurus Rex from Chicago's Field Museum. There
is also a cast of a Triceratops skeleton and a replica T. rex killing a
Edmontosaurus. The two halls also have exhibits telling the story of the
Cretaceous forests and the finding of Sue. Admission is $16.37 for adults
and $13.10 for children and seniors. Timed
tickets available in advance.
