After touring the sanctuary, we found a spot near the Tigers, which were the first animals fed. The most interesting part may have been the last 10 or 15 minutes before the feeding. The cats new it was coming and grew anxious, constantly moving. They were separated as much as possible and all fed as close to the same time as possible. We also tagged along for the feeding of some of the smaller wild cats.

Before leaving Louisburg, we went across town to Louisburg Cider Mill which was busy with people having freshly fried donuts, cold cider and hot spiced cider. Many people were purchasing gift baskets or purchasing individual food items to create their own gift baskets.

After checking them all out, we had supper at Burgers by Biggs. We have been to their BBQ restaurant several times, but this was the first time for the burger. The hamburgers were good, if not outstanding. The hand made onion rings and fresh cut fries were also good. 

If we lived nearby, this Biggs would be added to the mix of places we visited, but with so many good places in Lawrence and our getting there only occasionally, this restaurant does not rise to "must visit."

The Powell's Christmas display on SE Leo Avenue is shown at the right. It was once much larger and won prizes for several years. It is still attractive and well done.
